The Obama Administration contains a
number of Czars. In the United States the title "czar" is an informal term
for a certain high-level official who directs or oversees federal operations on a given
topic, such as the "drug czar" for the Director
of the Office of National Drug Control Policy. A czar could also be a
senior advisor to the President of the United
States, such as a "terrorism czar".
