Dr. Kirsten Brandt from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, who led the study,
recommends that everyone eat at least one small carrot every day, together with other vegetables and fruits, to benefit

conducted in Bethesda, MD concluded that men who consume high amounts of alpha carotene
have a lower incidence of lung cancer.

in dim light. Rhodopsin production is spurred by vitamin A, raising the effectiveness of
the light-sensitive area of the retina. Not getting enough vitamin A can actually lead to
night blindness, as well as an overall reduction in vision health.

Carrots are less well known for their positive effect on the skin. The PH balancing effect
protects against acne and aging. In fact, carrots can actually help to clear up skin
problems, and keep the skin smooth and glowing. Adding carrot juice to skin care products

In addition to fighting cancer, the beta-carotene in carrots has been shown to prevent
