HOW TO SHARE THE GOSPEL WITH AN EVOLUTIONIST
When you encounter an evolutionist do not argue with him. Instead explain that the Bible is in agreement with many of the teachings of evolutionists.
You should begin with the agreement of scientists and the Bible that the universe popped into existence out of nothing. Quote Hebrews 11.3
By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible.
This says that what is seen was not made from something else that is visible. Instead the entire universe was created out of nothing by the God of the Bible.
Next say the Bible and scientists are in agreement that there are parallel dimensions to the three dimensions that we live in. Quote 2 Kings 6.17:
And Elisha prayed, "O YAHWEH, open his eyes so he may see." Then YAHWEH opened the servant's eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
Explain that the Bible clearly teaches angels live in a parallel dimension and that is why they can appear out of nowhere and disappear. A couple examples are the angel that appeared in the jail cell where Peter was being held (Acts 12.7) and Jesus appearing inside a locked room on two separate ocassions (John 20.19, 28). The Lord and the angel did not walk through walls. They merely moved from their dimension to our dimension.
Next state that the scientists who believe there may be aliens living in our galaxy and other galaxies agree with the Bible. The Bible calls these aliens angels or the sons of God (Job 1.6; 2.1). There are good angels and bad angels. The bad angels have appeared to people throughout time. In the last century they have claimed to be aliens from various planets rather than gods as they did in the past.
You can also explain that the Bible is the only book of religion that is accurate every time it speaks on science. A few examples are:
YAHWEH hung the Earth on nothing and the space directly above Earth is "empty" (very few stars) (Job 26.7)
Space is expanding (Zechariah 12.1)
The ozone layer is mentioned (Psalm 47.9)
The Earth is round (Job 26.10; Isaiah 40.22)
The fingerprint is mentioned (Job 37.7).
Once you have shown him that the Bible is not like other books of religion that are filled with scientific errors share the Gospel with him.
Quote Romans 3.23 - For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Ask him if he has sinned.
Then quote Romans 6.23 - For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Ask him if he wants to live forever.
Then quote Romans 5.8 - But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Ask him if he believes Christ died for him.
Then quote Romans 10.9-10 - That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
Ask him if he wants to trust Jesus to save him.
If he says no then quote John 14.6 - Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life ; no one comes to the Father but through Me.
Ask him if he thinks he can be saved some other way or if he does not believe man has an eternal spirit.
If he does not believe Jesus is the only way to be saved or he believes he has no eternal spirit quote Hebrews 9.27 - And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment.
Then quote Matthew 16.26-27 - "For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? "For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and WILL THEN REPAY EVERY MAN ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS."
Tell the evolutionist that even if he does not believe Jesus Christ is the only way to be saved and if he does not believe he has an eternal spirit - that he will be brought into judgment and he will be found guilty.
Then quote Revelation 20.15 - And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
Conclude by explaining the way to have one's name written in the "book of life" is to believe in Jesus Christ. Ask him again if he wants to trust in Jesus to save him. If he says no give him a Gospel tract and go your way. If he says yes tell him to ask Jesus to save him in his own words. Do NOT lead him in a sinner's pray. Then make a disciple out of him.
If you present the Gospel in this manner you will have good results. If you argue with him that the universe is just 6,000 years old and make it the centerpiece of your Gospel presentation you will lose a soul, grieve the HOLY SPIRIT, and YAHWEH will be displeased with you. Do NOT be a FOOL! Do NOT mention your young earth hypothesis!
